Audio Description: The Performance Career You Haven't Heard.

About This Event

Audio Description is a paid performance career. Most voice actors have never heard of it.

Blind and low vision audiences watch the same shows you do. Someone performs the track that makes that possible, on a deadline, inside spaces between dialogue.

Roy's performed thousands of titles of Audio Description for Netflix, Disney+, Max, Hulu, FX, Marvel, A24, and Sony. He wrote the book on Audio Description performance, and produced the Audio Description for the film Possibilities, which premiered at Carnegie Hall with the description built into the film itself.

In 60 minutes he’ll show you what the work is, what it demands of you, and how people get hired. Then 20 minutes of your questions.
